The Department of Public Health has implemented Tobacco Exposed, a program for youth in Kindergarten through 12th grade throughout El Paso County. The program addresses the subject of tobacco and its uses and abuses. The presentation aims to educate youth on the harmful effects of tobacco, the ingredients found in tobacco products and teaches them refusal skills. Tobacco Exposed is a single use lesson that has been adapted to various age groups. Our program also offers parent sessions and Freshstart-Quitting Program for adult tobacco users who seek a resource to take the next step in gaining the essential tools, and information needed to make a successful quit attempt.
